Queenstown, the beginning of our NZ adventures!

We arrived from Sydney to Christchurch then flew to Queenstown.
We did 2 big days of hiking while in Queenstown: the Tiki trail to reach the Fernhill loop: 5 hours of steep hiking to start our NZ holiday. But what views from the top!! On the second day, we started the Routeburn hike reaching the Flats huts. First time we crossed rivers with knee high water... The weather was not helping that day! Plenty of swing bridges as well!

Our handsome birthday boy!!

Our stay at Milford Sound was spectacular. The drive was great with amazing views all the way from Queenstown. We chilled on the terrace of our lodge on our first afternoon then we kayaked yesterday and today we hiked. This is a beautiful part of the world. The photos don't do it justice.

Monday 24: we are off to New Zealand!

Tim has arrived!!

We had all day together in Sydney yesterday and took Tim for a tour of the main sites: The Harbor bridge and the Opera House, the Botanic gardens, the Rocks and the CBD. To end the day, we took a ferry to Taronga and chilled on a beach :-) which had a great view of the city.

We are now at Sydney airport and off to Christchurch then Queenstown (NZ). We do not know what the wi-fi will be like when we arrive at our hotel tonight but I am sure that Queenstown has a few McDo with network connection!

A good walk in the botanic garden to get rid of the jet lag!

Last day in KI and some pics from Adelaide!

Antechamber bay where we saw babies penguins waiting for mum and dad to come back with fresh fish! No photos of them as they were hidding in the rocks and we did not want to disturb them.

Great clear water and not a soul, except for the babies penguins!

Our ride back to the mainland....
