Abel Tasman...the north of the south Island

We loved our hikes along the beautiful Abel Tasman coast....

Our second hike on the Abel Tasman Coastal Track: From Totaranui to Awaora Bay - with pleny of time to swim in the bays. We drove for 2 hours from Marahau to get to the start of the track - The drive had many sharp alpine turns that it would have been worth of a formula 1 circuit!

A day on a catamaran: differnt way of seeing the coast.

How to get to the start of a hike: Water Taxi!

Maman fait une belle decouverte... The green lip mussels are delicious!

Our day on the catamaran

The views reward the effort to get there

My babe!

First hike on the Abel Tasman Coastal Track (4 hours and a bit to explore the secluded bays)

Arriving at Torrent Bay from Barks Bay - Our third hike in Abel Tasman

Secluded beach along the way

And how do you get a water taxi on the water at low tide? On a tractor obvioulsy!

One of our first hike on Abel Tasman Coastal Track Bay - From Anchorage to Marahau

A great swing bridge over a river - 3rd hike in A.T.
